Our story
Kaart x Konneksies · Card x Connections
Ten years in the notebook.
One tap in the real world.
KXK is a smart NFC business card brand built in Benoni, Gauteng — designed, coded and hosted by one person who refused to let the idea stay on paper.
A note from the founder
Look at me go now.
Thank you for visiting KXK. I'm Morne Becker.
I had this idea ten years ago: a card you tap once and your whole world lands in someone's pocket. Back then I couldn't build it. I didn't know how to code, and something this complex — chip activation, ownership, payments, hosting — was simply beyond me. So the idea stayed in a notebook and quietly got older.
Then I taught myself. Every page, every product and every service behind this website was created and is hosted by me: a 1996-born South African who eventually learned to build the thing he kept talking about. Look at me go now.
By day I work as a sales manager, which is the honest reason KXK exists in the shape it does. It is the card I hand over at a trade show, the reason a warm conversation doesn't die when the notebook runs out, and the reason I can see who my sales teams met, what they promised, and which leads still need a follow-up. It keeps me on point, and it keeps my teams on point with it.
If you've been wondering what KXK actually stands for: it's Kaart x Konneksies — Afrikaans, my home language — which is simply Card x Connections. Same promise either way.
We are still a small business, and I'd rather tell you that than have you find out the hard way. Small means you speak to the person who built the thing. Small means if your chip misbehaves, I hear about it before my coffee goes cold. And small means the plan is still to take KXK from a Benoni workshop operation to a booming South African brand. If you buy a card from us, you're part of that growth — and I don't take that lightly.
Tap well, Morne

The business
What KXK Group actually does
KXK Group makes and supplies sustainable NFC business cards and the hosted profile service behind every chip. We work from Benoni in Gauteng and deliver across South Africa, so the card in your pocket and the page people open when they tap it are both ours to look after.
The hardware
Wooden NFC cards in maple, sapele and walnut, a clear transparent smart card, a rugged epoxy keychain, a woven armband and a 10-card corporate team pack. Every chip is off the shelf and ready to use once activated — no batteries, no charging, no app for the person tapping it.
The software
Each chip opens a hosted profile you control: contact details, socials, website, price list, your own colours and button styles. A tap can save your contact or send their details back to you as a lead, and every change you save is live the moment you save it — the chip never needs rewriting.
How a KXK chip works
- 1
Buy a chip
Order from the shop or the Corporate Studio and pay securely with PayFast.
- 2
Activate it
Sign in, enter the code after kxk- and the 4-digit PIN from your PIN slip, then create or link a profile.
- 3
Tap and share
Hold the chip to any modern phone. Your profile opens in the browser — save contact or send your details back.
What's included with every chip
- 1 year of profile hosting included, then R 20 per year per chip — a chip is paused until its hosting is paid, and your profile and leads are never deleted.
- Delivery by The Courier Guy at a flat rate per order: Locker to Locker R 60 · Locker to Door R 80. The same rate for one card or fifty.
- Custom name or logo engraving on the wooden cards, made to order at R 30 and R 50 — production takes 1–4 days.
- 3 or more chips unlocks the company dashboard: brand lock, staff profiles and one place to manage every chip and lead.
