Terms & conditions

Your purchase, your chip and your hosted profile.

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Who these terms apply to

These terms cover purchases and use of the KXK.co.za NFC products and hosted-profile service supplied by KXK Group in South Africa. Read them together with our privacy, delivery and returns policies. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) or POPIA.

Supplier disclosures: KXK Group, 32 Rynfield Close, Country View, Benoni, 1501, South Africa. Telephone +27 65 989 2257, email info@kxk.co.za. The full list of business details is on our Contact page.

Products, prices and personalisation

Prices are displayed in South African rand. Review the selected product, quantity, engraving and total before placing an order. Any delivery charge or applicable additional charge must be disclosed before you agree to pay. Natural wood grain and colour vary; product photographs are illustrative of the finish.

Maple, Sapele and Walnut wooden cards are off-the-shelf products. Blank — no engraving has no additional charge. Custom engraving is available on wooden cards only: a name adds R 30, a logo adds R 50, and both add R 80. Please provide accurate wording and only artwork you have permission to use. Custom production takes 1–4 days; this is not a delivery promise.

Orders and payment

An order submission is a request to purchase, subject to confirmation of availability, the final amount and payment arrangements. You must be able to review and correct the order before committing. Keep your order confirmation and proof of payment.

The current checkout is a demonstration and does not collect a real PayFast payment. Do not treat a demonstration order as proof of payment or a confirmed dispatch. Actual online payment arrangements must be enabled and disclosed before live trading.

Activation, profiles and accounts

Every live personal or company staff profile requires a purchased, valid NFC product and activation using its chip code and PIN. Each activated chip links to one profile, and several activated chips may be linked to the same profile. Each chip is billed hosting separately.

Keep account credentials and activation PINs private. You are responsible for the content you choose to publish and for having permission to publish other people’s details. Do not use profiles for unlawful content, impersonation, infringement or unsolicited marketing. Company administrators must handle staff and visitor data lawfully.

Profile hosting

The first year of profile hosting is included with every product. From the second year, the hosting fee is R 20 per year per NFC product to keep the hosted profile live and available. Engraving charges are separate, one-off charges.

Automated renewal collection is not currently enabled. Renewal payment instructions must be communicated before payment is requested. These terms do not authorise automatic debits or imply that automatic billing is already operating.

Service availability and responsibilities

Opening a profile requires internet access; tapping also requires a compatible NFC reader. No KXK app is needed to view a public profile. Access may be interrupted by maintenance, network problems or third-party services; uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence or any liability or consumer remedy that South African law does not permit us to exclude. Returns, defective goods and delivery disputes are handled under the relevant policy and applicable law.

Changes and disputes

Changes apply prospectively and do not remove rights attached to an existing purchase. South African law applies, without restricting any mandatory protections or access to a competent court, regulator or consumer dispute process. Retain the terms that applied when you ordered.

Applicable law: ECTA, Consumer Protection Act and POPIA / Information Regulator.
