Instruction manual

From your new KXK chip to a complete, shareable profile.

01Before you start

  1. Have your purchased KXK chip and its PIN slip (code and 4-digit PIN) ready. Keep your PIN private.
  2. Use an NFC-capable phone and an internet connection. You can set up your profile on a phone or computer.
  3. Prepare a square profile photo or logo, a wide banner image (about 3:1) and your contact and social links.
  4. Each separate profile needs its own chip. You can also link several chips (e.g. a card and a keychain) to the same profile.

02Create your account

  1. Select Sign in in the top menu, choose Sign up and enter your email and a password.
  2. Open the confirmation email and select the link, then sign in.
  3. Forgot your password? Select Forgot password? on the sign-in page and follow the email link.
  4. Always sign in with the same email — your chips and profiles belong to that account.

03Activate your chip

  1. Select Activate. The kxk- prefix is already filled in; type the 6 characters from your PIN slip and select Continue. Or tap the unused chip with your phone.
  2. Enter the 4-digit PIN.
  3. Choose New profile and enter your name and a profile label, or choose Link existing to make this chip open a profile you already have.
  4. Select Activate chip. Your first year of hosting starts today.

04Complete your profile

  1. Open Dashboard → Profiles and select your profile. The Profile strength bar shows what is missing.
  2. Details tab: name, job title, company, bio, phone, WhatsApp and email.
  3. Photos & links tab: upload your photo and banner, add your website and socials (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and more).
  4. Select Save profile in the bottom bar. Only include information you want to share publicly.

05Style your profile

  1. Style tab: choose primary and accent colours, block fill, corner shape, font and background.
  2. Under Buttons, give each button its own look: Solid, Accent, Outline, Soft, Gradient, Shadow or Ghost.
  3. Extras tab: add Specials (offers), Highlights (short tags) and a price list.
  4. Check the Live preview, then save. Company brand locks may fix some colours and images.

06Make your first tap

  1. Unlock the receiving phone. On Android, switch NFC on in Settings.
  2. Hold your chip near the NFC reader — the top of an iPhone or the middle back of an Android — for 1–2 seconds and open the notification.
  3. Check your photo, details and links. The phone needs internet access to open your profile.
  4. Select Save contact to download a contact file and confirm saving it. Select Exchange to send visitor details to you.

07Manage chips and leads

  1. Dashboard → Chips lists each chip, its linked profile and its hosting paid-until date. Points to changes which profile it opens.
  2. Turn Lost / Deactivated on if a chip is lost; turn it off to restore it.
  3. Dashboard → Leads shows details visitors sent through Exchange.
  4. Direct VCard mode on a profile makes a tap download your contact straight away.

08Order and delivery

  1. Choose products in the shop. For wooden cards choose the wood and an engraving option; the price updates as you choose.
  2. At checkout enter your details and address and choose Locker to Locker (R60) or Locker to Door (R80) — charged once per order.
  3. Pay with PayFast. The order is confirmed once PayFast confirms the payment.
  4. Custom engraving takes 1–4 days production before dispatch. Email your logo with your order reference.

09Set up a company team

  1. The company dashboard unlocks after 3 or more chips are bought (a Team pack counts as 10). Enter your company name and select Create.
  2. Staff: select Add staff, enter the name, an unused chip code and PIN, then Create staff profile. Allow staff member to self-edit controls editing access.
  3. Branding: set colours, logo, banner and price list. Use the lock icon per field, or Lock all, to fix branding on every staff profile, then save.
  4. Cards: reassign chips with Points to or switch them to Lost / Deactivated. Leads: see all staff leads.

10Hosting and renewals

  1. The first year of hosting is included with every KXK product, from its activation date.
  2. From the second year, hosting is R20 per year per chip — three chips renew at R60.
  3. In Dashboard → Chips select Renew hosting · R20, or Renew all, and pay with PayFast. Paying early adds a year to your current end date.
  4. If hosting lapses, the chip is paused until paid. Your profile and leads are kept.
